Where to find UBC information, support, and guidance
UBC’s Academic Integrity Hub
The UBC Academic Integrity Hub has excellent faculty- and student-facing resources about all aspects of academic integrity and misconduct. They have a specific page on Generative AI and academic integrity.
CTLT’s A.I. in Teaching and Learning
The CTLT’s A.I. in Teaching and Learning site is a comprehensive resource with events, guidance, and resources for incorporating AI in teaching and learning, redesigning assessment to minimize AI misuse, as well as a list of AI chatbots currently approved for any assessments or class activities where AI use is required.
For assessment design, the place to start is Assessment Design using Generative AI. Be sure to scroll to the bottom to find insights on “How we can reduce the risk of GenAI doing the work for students” and “How to make the most of GenAI in assessments and assignments”.
UBC’s Generative AI Site
The main UBC Generative AI site has guidance and training for the full range in which Generative AI may affect the institution, students, staff, and faculty. The training hub may be of interest for those interested in learning more about how this technology works, and the guidelines for all uses of A.I. in teaching and learning are also available.
